Giant Stride As Presidency Partners A3 Foundation, Empowers 3,000 Disadvantaged Youths

The Presidency, through the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Youth & Students Affairs, has collaborated with the A3 Foundation, CISCO. Rockefeller Foundation and Funds and Electronic Transfer Solutions (FETS) Ltd to empower 3,000 high potential but disadvantaged youths across Nigeria under a ‘Digital Jobs Nigeria’ youth empowerment initiative.

This was contained in a statement made public by the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Youth and Student Affairs, and endorsed by the Technical Adviser, Ibrahim Suleiman.

The statement further explained that this move will be considered as part of the second year anniversary achievement of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Even though the programme is currently under final consideration for funding from the Growth and Employment Project (GEM) of the Federal Ministry of Industry Trade & Investment/World Bank, the 3, 000 Youths will be empowered by way of provision of Work Stations (Laptops), Internet Bundles and a N2 million grant each – to be credited to the beneficiaries in their mobile money wallets as working capital.
